Research Methodology
7chinapv organizes publicly referenced sell-side and institutional-style research on China’s photovoltaic (PV) and solar value chain—primarily A-share listed companies and related industry themes—into a single, browsable reference. This page describes how we think about coverage, presentation, and limits of the dataset.
What we curate
Each record represents an analyst report (or equivalent research note) with structured metadata: titles, publish dates, broker or institution labels, ratings where applicable, industry tags, and links to attachments when the upstream export provides them. We do not originate primary financial forecasts; we surface and index what appears in the source export.
Company vs industry coverage
Reports are split for navigation into company (stock) notes tied to listed issuers and industry notes that emphasize sector themes, policy, or supply-chain dynamics. Classification follows the 研报类型 field in the dataset. When a title spans both company results and sector context, the upstream type determines where it appears in our UI.
English presentation layer
Where available, we link to English-oriented markdown summaries under downloads/markdown-en/, keyed by report identifiers and optional security codes. These files are derived from the same research corpus and are intended as reading aids, not as replacements for the original analyst PDFs or compliance-reviewed disclosures.
Sorting and freshness
Default list ordering uses publish date (newest first) when that field is present and parseable. The on-disk JSON export is a snapshot; refresh cadence depends on how often you regenerate and deploy public/reports-export-*.json from your pipeline, not on live polling of broker systems.
Limitations
- Content is informational only and does not constitute investment advice, an offer, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
- Ratings, targets, and forward-looking statements reflect the originating analyst at a point in time and may be stale or superseded.
- Translations and summaries can omit nuance or legal qualifiers present in the original Chinese documents.
- PDF hosting may sit outside this site; availability and terms are governed by third parties.
